Aplo Flow 4-Position Chip Holder

ONI’s 4-position chip holder is designed to fit into a single SBS plate position on the deck of the Aplo Flow system and has purpose-built features to enable automated pipetting from our custom 4-lane fluidic microscopy chips. The chip holder plate simply snaps into position on the deck of the Aplo Flow system, and then up to four (4) chips can be loaded into the plate.

Precision machined from inert Delrin plastic with built-in retention clips in each lane to prevent each chip from being lifted out of the holder during pipetting tasks. Also, compliant bumpers in each lane help create a perfect seal against the fluidic inlet/outlet ports during automated washing and fluid injection.

FAQs

Does each ONI reagent kit require a different chip holder to run on Aplo Flow?
No, this universal chip holder is designed to hold our standard 4-lane microscopy chips for use in any of our Aplo Flow automated chip preparation workflows. 

Do I need to use the ONI stage magnets to hold chips into the holder?
Each position of the chip holder has its own retention clip to keep chips help securely in place, no magnets required.

Does the orientation of the chips in the holder matter?
Yes, make sure to load chips following the orientation markings in each position.

How do I clean the 4-Position Chip Holder?
Please use only lab-grade 70% EtOH and a clean paper towel or KimWipe to wipe down the holder. DO NOT USE bleach-based cleaners, nor autoclave the holder block, as they will permanently damage the holder.
